REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma, or equivalent.
2. Post high school course work with academic major or concentration in food and nutrition service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field, preferred.
3. At least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience, preferred.

*Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
*Ability to handle multiple projects (be flexible) and prioritize tasks simultaneously in an organized and timely manner.
*Strong computer, telephone, and organizational skills.
*Attention to detail.
*Ability to ensure and preserve confidential information pertaining to this position.
*Ability to be positive and professional at all times.
*Ability to relate and work well with students, parents, staff, and community members.
*Knowledge of and experience with MS Office, Google Suite, and Skyward software, preferred.
*Ability to learn, understand, and use new technology as it becomes available.

JOB GOALS
The Nutrition Services Secretary will:
-Assist with USDA and DPI forms and reports for the school nutrition department.
-Work with families to identify free and reduced status, in compliance with USDA guidelines.
-Understand and apply all qualifications of eligibility and participation in the school nutrition program.
-Assist the Nutrition Services Supervisor in gathering daily lunch counts and updating production sheets.
-Contact families regarding negative food balances and providing options for assistance.
-Assist in ordering and purchasing for the department, including preparing food orders.
-Contact Human Resources Specialist for a complete job description.

8 hour position M - F / 260 day work agreement
