WFB High School has an opening for a boys JV Hockey Coach. Interested candidates should have hockey coaching experience.

Preferred Coaching Criteria:
- Previous experience coaching/competing in the sport
- A general philosophy on coaching and passion for the sport
- Knowledge of the fundamentals, training, rules, and strategy of the sport
- Ability to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and administration
- Strong organizational skills
- Develop and implement game strategy and position assignments
- Creating a mutually beneficial relationship between colleagues and the community
- Maintaining a positive and growth-mindset throughout all time of the job
- Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans through appropriate staff when needed.
- Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
- Being timely and willing to go the extra mile for the program.
All Coaches/Advisors must meet the following requirements:
1. Completion of New Hire paperwork including criminal background check and pre-employment physical & TB test
2. Completion of the Wisconsin DPI Mandatory Reporting of Child Maltreatment-Training for All School Employees within the last five (5) years.
3. Completion of the Wisconsin DPI Mandatory Reporting of Threats of Violence-Training for All School Employees within the last five (5) years.
4. Review of the Coaching Handbook and The Coaches Code of Ethics
5. Responsible for collection and inventoried equipment, uniforms, and/or materials used during your season
6. Completion of the WIAA National Federation of HS Non-Teachers Coaches Course or with pre-approval from Activities Director an equivalent course through sport specific organization.
7. Completion of the WIAA Rules Exam and corresponding Rules Video
8. Review of the District’s Concussion Management Plan
9. Completed and submitted copy of your most recent CPR, AED, and First Aid certification cards to the Human Resources Office
