The Verona Area School District is seeking applicants for the following position.

 

Choral/Instrumental Music (Choir/Band)
Verona Area School District
Badger Ridge Middle School
.6 FTE
Position to begin on August 20, 2024

Instrumental and Vocal Music certifications (or the ability to be licensed) are required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: instruct, organize, and maintain the Middle School 6th, 7th and 8th grade Choir and Band program and provide instruction of students in successful rehearsal and concert performances. Teaching responsibilities also include developing and teaching a non-performance Music Exploration elective course as well as advising a small community of learners daily.

Other expectations include:
Work closely with other music teachers in the district to establish, develop, and implement 21st Century music standards.
Work closely with other Middle School faculty to create and promote cross-curricular instructional strategies and learning.
Recruit and retain student engagement in our Music program.
Develop and sustain strong connections and relationships with students, staff, families and community.
Plan and conduct music group performances throughout the year fostering our scholars’ love of music as an integral part of their education.
Support the audio recording and sound engineering activities in the building
Well-developed knowledge, skills and experience integrating educational technology as a tool for learning in the classroom is necessary.
