D.C. Everest is looking for a Long Term Substitute School Nurse for the 2024-2025 school year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Oversees all building Health Assistants district-wide.
  • Trains staff on Emergency Medical Administration.
  • Communicates with other School Nurses on current health issues.
  • Ensures that student health care needs are met.
  • Adheres to professional performance standards.
  • Communicates with families and health providers regarding student medical concerns and conditions to create and maintain student health plans.
  • Oversees and communicates with Marathon County Health regarding Health Screenings.
  • Communicates with Marathon County Health regarding management of communicable disease protocols.
  • Creates and maintains District Policies, Procedures, and Protocols for health situations and services for our students.
  • Communicates with local consulting physicians regarding Policies, Procedures, and Protocols.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT IT TAKES:

  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Public health, pediatric, or school nursing experience preferred.
  • Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance coverage.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE:

  • $30-$34 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Full time or part time hours depending on availability.
  • There are no benefits with this position.
