Position Details
The Mukwonago Area School District, located approximately 25 miles southwest of Milwaukee, is seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Family & Consumer Science Teacher for Mukwonago High School beginning August 2024. Prospective candidates will possess a strong work ethic as part of a collaborative and dynamic team. Mukwonago High School (MHS) serves over 1,600 students in grades 9-12. We offer courses in foods/nutrition, culinary arts, fashion, design, healthcare, and child development.
The Mukwonago High School has state-of-the-art culinary facilities from our latest remodel that was completed in 2018 and a program that has grown in numbers each year over the last five years. The MHS Family and Consumer Science department offers multiple industry-recognized certifications for our students as well as many opportunities for work-based learning. Because of this, the program has a lot of momentum and looks to continue growing and expanding the opportunities for our students. As a district, we welcome a candidate who is willing to grow professionally and will support new initiatives for the benefit of our students and the community.
The finalist for this position will join a dedicated group of teachers to work collaboratively within the department and other professional learning communities to improve student learning.
Job requirements include the completion of a program in Family/Consumer Science, and the candidate must possess or be eligible for a (1210) Family and Consumer Education license through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
