RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team.  You will play a pivotal role in creating individualized learning plans, implementing evidence-based interventions, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment to meet the individual needs of students due to their physical, mental, neurological, or emotional impairments.  Responsibilities may include:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs, in collaboration with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other members of the team.
  • Conduct initial and re-evaluations using a variety of assessment tools.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to engage students and promote their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and related service providers to ensure the integration of special education services with the general education curriculum.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, identify areas of need, and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, IEP goals, and communication with parents and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Participate in professional learning activities to stay current in best practices in early childhood special education and evidence-based interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid DPI License Early Childhood Special Education
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Experience working with young children with special education needs, preferably in a school or educational settings
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones, early childhood curriculum standards, assessments, and evidence-based instructional strategies for children with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all children can succeed.
  • Ability to reliably commute to schools and centers throughout the region.
