Seeking Substitute Custodians for Kenosha Unified School District!
SUMMARY: The Sub Custodian is responsible for satisfactorily performing functions associated with custodial operations, including minor maintenance tasks. Individual work area assignments may not be given, but rather a team cleaning approach used throughout the building.
Work hours: 2:45pm-10:45pm
RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Must be able to operate or be capable of learning to operate and maintain equipment used by the custodial staff such as scrubbing machines, snow removal equipment, lawn mowers, and vacuum cleaners.
2. Must be able to satisfactorily perform in terms of quality and quantity cleaning duties associated with custodial operations and identified on work schedules such as sweeping and vacuuming floors, dumping trash, cleaning and washing chalkboards, cleaning sinks, dusting, mopping floors (wet/dry), changing filters, cleaning univents, washing windows, cleaning building areas, refinishing floors etc.
3. Able to perform and assist in performing minor maintenance tasks (change light bulbs or tubes, change light switches, change outlets, change ballast, etc.).
4. All internal employees are required to check their district email at least one time per week.
5. Other duties assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift 75 pounds without assistance; must be able to remain in a stationary upright position for long periods of time; must be able to freely move about inside the workspace; must be able to work in environments of extreme heat and cold, including shoveling snow; regularly required to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees, administration, and outside vendors; must be able and capable of working from ladders, scaffolding, and high-life equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience: Preferred - One-year experience as a custodian or similar work experience.
