Charter School Guidance Counselor .6 FTE - Vacancy ID: 185212

Anticipated Position: Tomorrow River Community Charter Schools Guidance Counselor (Grades PK-8) 0.6 FTE (0.2 is currently funded by ESSER funds and is for the 2023-34 school year only at this time.) Duties: Successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the psychological, theoretical and sociological foundation of human development, learning and behavior to assist students in overcoming problems that impede learning, provide individual and group guidance activities which are developmental and preventative in nature, consult with parents, staff or representatives of outside agencies with respect to specific needs of individual students, have an understanding of relevant state and federal laws, regulations and standards of a school counselor as well as the ability to utilize student data and assessment to improve school counseling programs/services, etc. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Current Wisconsin DPI licensure as a School Guidance Counselor at the Elementary and Middle School levels; 2. Experience/training/certification in Waldorf education desired; 3. Successful knowledge and guidance experience with young students, staff and parents; 4. Ability to develop positive, constructive relations with students, staff and community; 5. Must have effective communication skills – oral, written, and technological, time management and organizational; 6. Such alternatives to the above that the district may find acceptable; and 7. Acceptable background check. Contract Amount: 0.6 FTE/2023-24 School Year Calendar as adopted by the TRCCS Governance Board/Salary depending on experience. Begin August 21, 2023.
