Parkview School District is seeking a Full-time custodian at the Parkview Jr./Sr. High School (9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
Position requires the ability to perform general housekeeping, custodial and grounds keeping duties in buildings and on grounds under the supervision and/or direction of the Director of Buildings & Grounds.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Housekeeping
1. Clean and polish furniture
2. Clean washrooms and replace supplies
3. Collect and dispose of trash
4. Vacuum and clean carpets
5. Clean buildings from ceilings to floors
6. Sweep, mop, and scrub floors
7. Refinish floors
B. Custodial
1. Move furniture, equipment and supplies
2. Replace light bulbs
3. Secure & open building and individual rooms
4. Maintain custodial supplies and equipment
5. Set up and take down for activities
6. Make minor repairs and adjustments
7. Clean/replace filters on heating/cooling, and kitchen units
8. Document work completed and report items needing attention
C. Grounds Keeping:
1. Remove snow and ice from entrance and sidewalks
2. Mow grass and trim shrubs
3. Pick up trash from sidewalks, lot areas and campus
4. Make daily safety inspections of playgrounds
1. Ability to work with students, staff and the public with courtesy and tact
2. Knowledge of, and strict adherence to safe work practices associated with this position at all times
3. Ability to perform manual labor under adverse weather conditions
4. Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in large scale cleaning
5. Must be able to work with and be exposed to industrial strength chemicals
6. Ability to understand and effectively carry out both oral and written instructions
7. Ability to climb ladders up to 10 feet
8. Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
9. Reliable & Responsible

11. Perform any other similar duties as needs arise or are assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years of prior experience in a related environment preferred. Valid Wisconsin Drivers License required.
