Arrowhead Union High School is accepting applications for a part-time, school-year Study Hall and Lunchroom Aide. This position is located at our South Campus and the hours are Monday through Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Here is the following job description for each role: GENERAL FUNCTION FOR THE STUDY HALL AIDE: Monitor and supervise the South Campus Study Hall. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Set up attendance and seating charts. 2. Take attendance for each study hall. 3. Monitor bathrooms and halls in close proximity of study hall. 4. Receive attendance slips from CMC, computer lab, band room, and cross check attendance. 5. Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude. 6. Perform other duties as assigned. GENERAL FUNCTION FOR THE LUNCH ROOM AIDE: To monitor students during lunch and provide a safe and positive lunch period. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintain appropriate discipline and enforce lunchroom expectations to include The Arrowhead Way. 2. Become familiar with and aware of students with food allergies. 3. Respond positively to situations and circumstances as they arise. Treat students in a courteous, kind and respectful manner. 4. Circulate the cafeteria engaging students and establishing rapport. 5. Assist and support with student behavior by communicating behavior concerns to the lead lunchroom supervisor. 6. Prepare buckets of sanitizing solution, to be used on cafeteria tables and benches. Clean and sanitize the cafeteria tables and benches after each lunch period. 7. Maintain the appearance of the cafeteria throughout the lunch period. Keep tables, benches, floor and tray return areas neat and clean. 8. Dismiss students in an orderly fashion at the end of the lunch period. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: • High School diploma. • Possess behavior management skills. • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively with all staff. • Possess problem solving, patience, reasoning, and good judgment. • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the school and follow safety expectations.
