Middle-High School Principal The School District of Shell Lake is a PK-12th grade district serving approximately 585 students and is located in Washburn County, 80 miles north of Eau Claire, WI and 80 miles south of Duluth, MN. The district is looking for a dynamic, student-focused administrator to become the next leader of our middle-high school. Expected Personal Characteristics: • Believes that all students can learn and persistently pursues that belief • Maintains a positive, “can-do” attitude • Collaboratively contributes to a team approach for organizational success • Engages in critical thinking and seeks creative solutions • Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to change • Committed to continuous improvement of self and organization • Works to develop trust, respect, support and communication among all stakeholders in order to promote a positive school culture • Leads with our mission: “Inspire and support each student to thrive and contribute to society through educational challenges, community engagement, and high expectations” in mind • Strong communication skills The ideal candidate will provide strong collaborative leadership for the district and have experience in: • Professional Learning Communities • Building and maintaining positive relationships • Evaluation of staff with feedback • Professional and curriculum development • Promoting differentiation of instruction and assessment of learning Qualification: • Masters degree in Educational/Administrative Leadership • Valid Wisconsin Licensure (5051) • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience • Administrative experience preferred, but not required • Experience in secondary education preferred
