Oconto Unified School District is hiring an Elementary School Special Education Teacher to begin with the 2023-2024 school year. Cross-Categorical Special Education License Preferred ~ Experience teaching students with a variety of disability areas, including Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and those with medical and behavioral needs. ~ Ability to lead IEP meetings in an organized and efficient manner. ~ Ability to write and implement IEPs and monitor student progress toward IEP goals. ~ Experience collaborating with general education teachers, service providers, and paraprofessionals to ensure student success in all classroom environments. ~ Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, staff, and community members. ~ Commitment to student success and continuous improvement. ~ Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills. ~ Ability to provide a secure, respectful, and inviting learning atmosphere which motivates and challenges students to achieve at their highest level.
