Arrowhead High School is seeking applications for a full-time, 2nd shift Lead Custodian to join our TEAM! A benefits package summary is available upon request. GENERAL FUNCTION: Oversee and lead custodial work on respective shift, extracurricular/after school events, and perform general housekeeping. The essential functions of the job are as follows: 1. Oversee and lead custodians and seasonal/utility help on respective shift (School Year 2nd shift). 2. Coordinate and setup/takedown of after school/seasonal extracurricular events. 3. Assist in custodial evaluations and recommend areas to improve custodial functions. 4. Assist in developing and maintaining appropriate cleaning standards, routines, techniques and schedules. 5. Perform supply and material ordering for operational functions. 6. Ensure facility is secure; use of building access control system. 7. Confers and coordinates, on a regular basis, with Supervisor of Custodial Operations, Maintenance and Operations Manager, Principal/Associate Principles, Activities Department regarding school operations. 8. Perform general housekeeping in areas assigned. This includes, but is not limited to: • Clean bathrooms and drinking fountains (replace soap & paper products) several times a day • Maintain hard surface and carpeted flooring (Sweep, dry/wet mop, machine clean, vacuuming) • Cleaning table tops, et-up and take down of folding cafeteria tables • Entry vestibules and window cleaning, clean and maintain lockers • Snow removal as assigned 9. Removal of waste material / co-mingle recycling as required. 10. Room reconditioning and move furniture as required. 11. Assist in emergency situations. 12. Assist with deliveries and unloading of freight. 13. Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented attitude. 14. Perform other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Must have a High School Diploma and posses a valid WI Drivers License. Experience in related field preferred. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter. Must demonstrate leadership qualities. Ability to plan, assign and direct work of others; ability to train and evaluate performance; ability to address complaints and resolve problems; ability to work well with others; ability to communicate effectively with others/maintain confidentiality; ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Working knowledge of all equipment and service systems in the building. EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED: Proficient in use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and related powered equipment. Must be able to perform snow removal with hand and mechanical equipment. Ability to be trained in the use of email, access control systems, and computer related systems as assigned.
