We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Assistant Football Coach to join our varsity football coaching staff, with consideration given to defensive coordinator applicants. The successful candidate must place a priority on building strong relationships with our student-athletes, coaching staff, and community; as well as assist the Head Coach in leading and developing a competitive football program for student-athletes at the high school level and down through our youth levels.
Responsibilities:
Create strong, positive, relationships with members of our football program on and off the field
Assist the Head Coach in the overall management and administration of the football program
Help develop and implement practice plans and game strategies
Assist in the continued growth and retention of student-athletes
Attend and participate in all practices, games and team meetings
Adhere to all school, state and league rules and regulations
High School or College level coaching experience preferred, but not required
Strong knowledge of football strategies and techniques
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work well in a player-centered, team-first environment
High energy and passion for working with student-athletes and helping them develop both on and off the field in a positive and proactive manner
