The Wausau School District is seeking a Custodian II to support of our mission to advance student learning, achievement and success, with primary emphasis on cleaning, maintaining, and servicing Wausau East High School. The Wausau School District is seeking a Custodian II to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition in support of our mission to advance student learning achievement and success. This is a Full-time position and qualifies for health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short term and long term disability, paid sick leave, personal leave, and retirement through the Wisconsin Retirement System. REQUIRED: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and knowledge of cleaning procedures and routine maintenance activities desired. Must work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers, school personnel and students. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities and notifying management of the need for repairs. Strength and physical stamina to perform general cleaning and maintenance of the buildings and grounds such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and removing snow and debris from sidewalks. The interview process may include testing and/or demonstration of skills, knowledge of cleaning procedures and chemicals.
