Special Education Teacher - Beaver Dam Middle School (Grades 6-8)
Required License(s): DPI licensure #1801 and/or DPI licensure #1811.

The Beaver Dam Unified School District is seeking an energetic, motivated educator, who has a strong desire to make a positive impact working with students who have learning disabilities or cross-categorical needs.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in a school with an emphasis on serving and supporting students in an inclusive setting in team teaching and leading smaller special education classes. Candidates should be able to:
1. Successfully manage needs of students with learning disabilities and cross-categorical labels and ensure they are making growth in closing the achievement gap with their academic, behavioral, and social needs.
2. Collect and track student performance data and use that data to drive instruction, craft behavior plans, conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments, and develop IEPs for students.
3. Instruct students in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings to provide multiple layers of core academic support.
4. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialists as a member of an instructional team.
5. Collaborate with parents by providing regular communication and proactively addressing parental questions or concerns that arise.
6. Efficiently manage the time and activities of teacher assistants.
7. Work effectively with students who have an emotional / behavioral disability.
