Title: PVMS Office Clerk Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00 Hours: 40 hours (6:45 am - 3:15 pm) Location: Park View Middle School Applications: Accepting applications until November 1, 2022, or the position is filled Description: This position will work with the PVMS administration and office staff. Clerical tasks will be assigned based on the selected candidate's skills, abilities, and talents. The candidate will provide assistance in the main office and support in the health room. Qualifications - Responsibilities Under the direction of the school administration: A commitment to efficient and excellent customer service. Demonstrate ability to work/relate with all staff, students, parents, and the community. Demonstrate proper usage of verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete work efficiently, organized, and accurately. Assist with maintaining confidential and accurate student records. Periodic flexibility with start and end times to best meet the school's needs. Knowledge of and ability to use a computer and a variety of other office machines, including but not limited to copiers, fax machines, postage machines, and scanners. Ability to learn various software applications, including Microsoft Office Applications, Google Apps for Education, Infinite Campus, etc. Ability to perform a variety of clerical tasks related to the general operations of the school, including but not limited to designing a weekly parent newsletter, contributing to school marketing efforts, organization of school data, preparation of purchase orders, processing school deposits, assisting with the distribution of school mail, staffing of the student health room (training is provided), and other tasks as deemed necessary to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Responsibilities under the direction of school administration: 1. Ability to relate/work with students, staff, and public 2. Educational training/background as an instructional assistant teacher or equivalent educational work experience preferred. 3. Possess a positive interest in and understanding of children. 4. Demonstrated ability to work patiently with children. 5. Ability to work under the direction of a certified teacher in an instructional setting. 6. High School Diploma, equivalent, or GED required.
