General Duties: This position has the primary responsibility for the maintenance and repair of the district building(s) assigned. These duties include managing and completing work orders, moving furniture and equipment, setting up for events, operating, maintaining, and scheduling building HVAC equipment and control system, and completing routine district inspections and preventative maintenance tasks. Physical Needs: Standing, pushing, walking, stooping, kneeling, carrying, for part of or full shift may be required. Ability to lift 25-50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally. May work outdoors in extreme heat and/or cold for portions of shift. Other responsibilities could include: Custodial duties as required and assigned Maintenance and repair to facilities and equipment as needed and assigned Grounds duties as assigned Marking and preparing athletic fields for play Open and secure buildings according to daily schedules Perform snow removal as required Perform setup and teardown for daily events in district buildings Secure quotes for needed orders and make recommendations of supplies and equipment for purchase Work with building principals and activity director on specific maintenance needs Maintain appropriate professional courtesy, dependability, and credibility Benefits include health, dental, life, and long-term disability insurances, Wisconsin Retirement System, sick bank, paid vacation, and paid holidays. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, computer skills for communicating, managing inventory, and scheduling building HVAC systems, knowledge and experience with general building maintenance and institutional cleaning principles, and knowledge and experience with operating, maintaining, and repairing various types of power tools, automated floor equipment, and HVAC equipment and control system. Must have a valid driver’s license.
