Work collaboratively with the Instructional Technology Coordinator in developing and implementing a professional learning environment supporting staff* to utilize innovative learning strategies using technology that support student engagement, growth, and achievement. *Staff – any person that provides direct or indirect learning opportunities for Pk-12 students).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Instructional:
· Demonstrate exemplary classroom technology use and integration practices including basic end-user ‘how to’ support.
· Provide demonstrations of innovative technology use practices in grade levels or content areas that support the adopted standards.
· Observe and coach classroom teachers in the effective use of innovative practices utilizing national and local standards (e.g. AASL, Future Ready, etc.)
· Provide sustained mentoring to classroom teachers where needed.
· Provide professional learning opportunities using multiple delivery methods.
· Identify resource needs, together with Director of Instruction and Personalized Learning and Instructional Technology Coordinator, and make recommendations for appropriate resources that function properly within the district’s technology environment and meet federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Interpersonal Relationships
· Build positive relationships with staff (classroom teachers, administration, instructional support, technology services team)
· Meet regularly with Director of Instruction and Personalized Learning and Instructional Technology Coordinator to implement agreed upon strategies that meet the district’s strategic plan
· Work collaboratively with the District Instructional Coaches ensuring their use of innovative technology use within their coaching and mentoring responsibilities
· Meet regularly with PLCs throughout the system to integrate innovative learning strategies using the technologies available
· Network with regional, state, national and international colleagues staying current with innovative practices and resources
· Coordinate and collaborate with District Library Media Specialist to create and implement the district’s digital literacy and information literacy expectations based on national, state, and local standards
· Attend necessary meetings related to the work.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction of the Director of Instruction and Personalized Learning:
· Successfully complete the essential functions of the position
· Provide leadership in collaboration with other leaders in developing an innovative learning environment to meet the district’s strategic plan; including the Apple Distinguished School Designation
