Duties of the Position: Advise and Supervise the Sparta Dance Team program under the direction of the Varsity coach Special Skills Required: The preferred candidate will have experience working with high school age students and choreography experience in Hip-Hop and Pom routines. Additional skills would include the ability to work collaboratively with parents, coaches, booster club, youth programs and administrative staff to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes. Ability to organize, monitor, motivate and educate student athletes. Leadership ability enabling cooperation, collaboration and respect among athletes and coaches. Understanding of the dynamics, expectations and realistic demands of a high school experience Degree/Special Training Required: Certified and will maintain certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and AED operation. Coaches that are not licensed to teach are required to take a coaching fundamentals course. Work Schedule of the Position: Must be available for regularly scheduled practices. Summer practices are held in the evenings, fall practices are held after school and winter practices are held before school and after school as scheduled by the head coach and subject to change. There are evening performances during the fall and winter and several Saturday competitions during the winter season. Internal candidates submit a letter of interest to John Blaha.
