Antigo Unified School District is seeking an experienced Director of Business Services to oversee all functions of the Finance Department. This position will support the Superintendent, Board of Education, and other areas of administration including Human Resources, Curriculum, Special Education, Facilities, Technology, and Transportation. USDA is a district of 310 employees plus substitute teachers and aides, coaches, event workers, tutors, etc. This position will oversee 7 FTE coordinators and Finance staff members and has indirect oversight of all District employees. The Director of Business Services is responsible for the following major operations/tasks: Tracking the District's $35 million budget including monthly updates and information Budget Forecasting; Service on School Board Finance Committee which includes regular reports and presentations to Committee members; Oversee compilation and organization of data needed for local, state, and federal reports, District insurance policies (property, workers’ compensation); Review contracts and recommend approvals for major purchases and service agreements; Payroll and accounts payable oversight and evaluation of business office staff; Manage and coordinate employee benefits, including EAP and wellness programs. Must be strategic, forward thinking and a team player who is able to multitask and move processes and systems forward, utilizing technology and other available resources. Must be current on all applicable employment laws. The ideal candidate will have a DPI license #5008 (School Business Administrator) and have a minimum of 5 years of experience at a Director level. The ideal candidate will have a history of building teams and coaching staff for growth, the ability to leverage systems to build efficiency, and an ability to support the Board and Superintendent. This position is eligible for benefits (health, dental, life, LTD), employer contributions to a 403(b). USDA utilizes the Strong Model for Educator Effectiveness, Neola for policy management, Forecast 5 for budget modeling, and this position reports to the Superintendent.
