The Unified School District of Antigo is hiring for three targeted support teachers at the elementary level for the 2022-2023 school year, which is to be funded by ESSER III. JOB GOAL: Staff would participate in planning for targeted skill deficits in our student populations by supporting classroom instruction at these levels. Data would be used to determine needs of students and skills needed to continue to progress in on track readiness. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge or skills associated with this position, but is intended to accurately reflect the essential job elements. Targeted Support Teachers should possess the following background: In-depth knowledge of reading, writing, and math processes, acquisition, assessment, and instruction; Possess a teaching degree and successful teaching experiences; Be expert teachers of reading, writing & math, especially at the level at which they work; Possess a strong understanding of student learning; Have the experience or preparation that enables them to promote reflective practices and support instructional staff through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, co-serving, observing, and providing collegial feedback about instruction; Good communication skills, excellent organizational and planning skills, motivation for professional growth, strong ability to work effectively with staff and parents in a positive manner, in-depth subject area knowledge, knowledge in the area of instructional methods, curriculum and assessment. Antigo is located in Wisconsin's beautiful Northwoods, only 30 minutes from the pristine Wolf River and 45 minutes from Wausau's performing arts center.
