Beaumont and Fort Howard Elementary Schools are accepting applications for a full-time special education-cross categorical teaching position beginning with the 2022-23 school year.
Demonstrating sustained improvements in student learning, Fort Howard is a Title 1 Schoolwide project, SAGE site, ethnically diverse, with a Spanish speaking population. Fort Howard is a school of “Challenge and Promise”. All staff members will abide by the plans and focus that the staff has put in place. Fort Howard has reconfigured the layout of the school day and implemented a strategic support system for students' academic, social, emotional and behavior needs. Anyone interested in joining the Fort Howard professional learning community must be committed to and understand their role and responsibilities of implementing a philosophy of balanced literacy. The ultimate goal is to improve student achievement for all students.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelors Degree
Wisconsin DPI special education EC-MC or MC-EA certification
Experience with behaviors and de-escalation. NVCI Training preferred. Training/experience with Calkins reading/writing units of study across all levels. Familiarity with workshop model.
