Part Time
The School District of Amery is now hiring a food server for the 2022-2023 school year. This is a 4 to 5 hour per day position on student contact days.
JOB GOALS:
To efficiently and effectively carry out the responsibilities outlined below.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain standards of sanitation and safety.
* Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
* Customer relation skills in dealing appropriately with and interacting with children and staff.
* Set up, serving and portioning of food items.
* Cleaning and sanitation of food areas, dispensers, and equipment.
* Applying and following sanitation procedures and operations in accordance with food service operational procedures and rules.
* Operating dishwashers, food dispensers, and other kitchen equipment.
* Storage of food items and rotation of food items.
* Assisting in food production reports, ordering, and other related reports/counts.
* Preparation, slicing, and set up of food items and materials for meal service.
* Use and operation of computers and point of sale.
* Ability to work over time for after school activities requiring catering.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
* Attend training classes and workshops.
* Perform other duties as assigned, including coverage of duties in the absence of fellow staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
* Must be able to stand for several hours on cement floors.
* Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and requirements pertaining to food handling, sanitation, and food production.
* Knowledge concerning the operation of food equipment and dishwashers.
* Knowledge of the application and use of computers and point of sale software.
* Knowledge of the application, use and proper storage of all food materials, perishables, and supplies used in the performance of the job.
* Knowledge of calculating recipes, cooking, baking, and preparing of food.
* Will train the right candidate.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Must become certified in Food Safety within six months of hire.
