Deerfield Community School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve students in our high school in grades 9-12 beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The successful applicant must demonstrate positive experience working to provide an equitable education to diverse learners by implementing differentiated instruction and effective teaching strategies, developing and implementing IEPs, developing positive relationships between home and school, work with diverse family structures, and collaborating with a team to best meet the needs of all students. Experience with assessment, continuous improvement through systems changes, and work on co-planning and co-serve on teams is desirable. Position involves co-teaching in the regular education classroom and/or pull out when necessary. Our administration and School Board are very supportive of our teachers because we believe good teachers are the core of a good school. The Deerfield Community School District is located 15 miles east of Madison in Dane County.
