Arrowhead Union High School District is looking to fill a Custodian-Maintenance position. The hours of this full-time position are 6:00am-2:30pm Monday thru Friday.
Here are the main job duties:
GENERAL FUNCTION: Perform daily opening of the High School facility. Ensure physical plant is operational for school day operations and activities. Maintain security of the physical plant & grounds. Provide effective communication and collaboration with school personnel, students, and visitors on a regular basis. Generally, up to 50% of duties include physical plant maintenance or special supervisory type duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Open High School facility on a daily basis in support of school day operations and activities.
2. Perform scheduled operations of facility service systems, including life safety, security, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
3. Perform general maintenance & routine cleaning of physical plant/grounds. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Support daily cafeteria operations, set-up/take down of furniture and equipment for daily school operations and activities
• Restrooms, corridors and daily floor cleaning, removal of waste material
4. Operate equipment and machinery used for physical plant cleaning and maintenance.
5. Perform seasonal grounds maintenance and snow plowing/removal.
6. Assist in emergency situations during work hours, afterhours, and weekends as needed.
7. Assist with deliveries and unloading of freight.
8. Work weekends and overtime as assigned.
9. Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented attitude.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Must have a High School Diploma and posses a valid WI Drivers License. Must possess a strong working knowledge of custodial systems, techniques, procedures, equipment, and chemicals. Operating knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED: Proficient skills with hand, power tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles used for physical plant and grounds maintenance. Experience with life safety, security, building automation systems and general use of computerized work order systems and email.
