Clay Lamberton Elementary School is seeking a talented and motivated elementary math coach to help support our students and teachers. Our coaches will use a student centered coaching model and collaborate with teachers in the area of mathematics. The candidate will have knowledge of current educational methodology and mathematical practices. In addition, a strong understanding of the Wisconsin Academic Standards, curriculum, instruction, and assessment is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strengths in the area of mentoring, instructional coaching, and collaboration. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Wisconsin Teacher Certification to teach one or more of the grade levels and content areas grades K - 5. 2. Five years of classroom teaching experience. 3.. Expertise in research based "best" instructional practices in mathematics. 4. Expertise in strategies for differentiating classroom instruction in the regular classroom to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. 5. Expertise in curriculum design, development, and implementation. 6. Expertise in the strategies, processes, implementation and facilitation of educator professional development. 7. Strong communication skills and effective leadership skills in working collaboratively and effectively with other professionals. 8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Candidates must have the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and community; the ability to be flexible and creative, and become an integral part of the community. The Berlin Area School District is located on the Fox River in East Central Wisconsin and is less than 90 minutes from Green Bay, Milwaukee, Madison, and Oshkosh. Berlin is an ideal location to live, work, and play with a population of 5,000. Our district has a student population of about 1,600 students in grades PK-12 on one campus.
