Central Sands Community High School is a new, Waldorf-Inspired charter school opening to grades 9-11 in the fall of 2022 and expanding through 12th grade in 2023/24 school year. Our collaborative, sustainable, and tuition free public high school will work out of the core principles of Public Waldorf Education, utilizing integrated curriculum to cultivate mindful leaders in an ever-changing world. We seek Grant Coordinator candidates with experience in grant administration to oversee an $800,000 DPI grant for the Central Sands Community High School. This key position will provide grant leadership and assure state and federal compliance for Central Sands under the direction of the Governance Board. The Grant Coordinator must deal effectively and graciously with situations requiring tact and judgment; exercise patience, common sense, and good humor to thrive under the pressure and competing priorities and demands of a school office environment while working with state and federal authorities regarding matters of the grant. Further, the candidate must: Embody the vision, mission, goals and philosophy of Central Sands Community High School Demonstrate a collaborative and solution-oriented approach in achieving outcomes Demonstrate flexibility, problem-solving skills and the ability to work successfully as part of a team and interact well with Board, parents, community organizations, corporations, and DPI officials Provide monthly progress and financial reports to the board Be responsible to the board Treasurer & CESA 6 for financial accountability Maintain a strong connection with the board, attending all board meetings and participating in sub-committees and task forces as necessary Serve on the Operations Committee of the Governance Board Facilitate grant paperwork, grant distribution procedures, expenditures Attend all required DPI grant meetings for Cohort 4 Submission of required documentation and completion of professional development to/for WRCCS via Headrush Coordinate all grant purchases according to state and local policy compliance Work closely with CESA 6 to assure accurate reporting into WISE Grants Skills Needed: Effective at communication, accounting and documentation Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Docs and Quickbooks Strong analytical skills including ability to take specific data and work toward a positive, concise plan of action and effectively articulate that in written and verbal form Experience with budget management, purchasing and bookkeeping Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Training Requirements: Central Sands Community High School is dedicated to bringing an innovative educational experience to the students of Central Wisconsin. Due to the unique nature of our school, we will provide our staff with required training over the spring and summer before the school opens. This position may require training in the areas of Sustainability, Social Emotional Learning, Restorative Practice, Mindfulness, Personal Learning Plans, and Project Based Learning. We may also require staff to pursue their Waldorf certification through Great Lakes Waldorf Institute’s teacher training or equivalent program.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 3+ years of administration experience preferable at a school/non-profit (Educational leadership desired) Demonstrated Success with the management of the finances of a large non-profit organization, and/or grant Experience/training/certification in Waldorf Education desired Effective communication skills – oral, written, and technological; time management, organizational and group facilitation skills; communication skills among diverse audiences Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one’s own cultural proficiency Demonstrate alignment to the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education Demonstrate leadership experience Acceptable background check
