The School District of West Allis-West Milwaukee is currently seeking a full time, 12-month secretary. This position supports the Athletic Directors at both West Allis Central High School and Nathan Hale High School with the facilitation of high school sports and youth sports programs. This position will require travel between both high schools. DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES: * Prioritize assigned tasks. * Use computer tools (e.g., Google, Excel, etc.). * Facilitate multiple schedules. * Maintain confidentiality. * Maintain positive relationships with district staff, students, and community members. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Maintain database of parent/athlete correspondence from the athletic office. * Process high school athletic participants. * Maintain schedule databases. * Process facility scheduling. * Process supplementary contracts. * Assist with securing bus transportation. * Assist with fee collection. * Assist with awards and recognitions. * Requisition request for Purchase Orders. * Assist with worker/official payments. * Assist with arranging WIAA State travel. * Other duties as assigned. Work within State and Board of Education policies, procedures and guidelines. • High School diploma required, Associate Degree in related clerical or business field preferred. Experience working in a medical office setting beneficial. • Demonstrates ability to develop databases, utilize relational database software for reporting and maintain database for student record keeping, communication and attendance purposes. • Demonstrates ability to utilize develop, maintain and improve spreadsheets including formula creation, tables creation and extracting reports. • Demonstrates the ability to utilize various technology including student information system, school messenger, website and social media as needed to communicate for official school business. • Demonstrates above average organizational, planning, problem solving and time management skills. • Demonstrates above average written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrates ability to perform duties in an efficient, timely and confidential manner. • Demonstrates ability to collaborate with members of the office team to produce positive results. • Maintain confidentiality with regard to student and/or personnel records. • Other qualifications as approved by the Board.
