Fidelis Consulting Service is currently hiring Substitute Teachers for the Stevens Point Area Public School District for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Job Description & Responsibilities: The role and responsibility of the Substitute Teacher includes, but not limited to: • Carrying out necessary daily tasks and responsibilities in place of the Teacher whose absence is being substituted • Reviewing and implementing lessons prepared by the absent teacher including regular routines and procedures • Possessing strong classroom management skills • Engaging students • Demonstrating a passion for working with students • Creating a safe and nurturing educational learning environment • Maintaining a positive, friendly, and respectful demeanor at all times • Establishing positive relationships Requirements: • Associates, Bachelors Degree or higher required for Substitute Teachers • Classroom experience preferred but not required • Tuberculosis Skin Test Questionnaire completed during your exam or Tuberculosis Skin Test with negative results • Basic Physical • Criminal History Background Check - both State and Federal • Excellent Communication Skills • WI Substitute Permit (can be obtained after applying). Substitute Rates for the District are as follows: Teacher Substitutes (who hold a DPI Substitute Teacher license) $130/Day Teacher Substitutes (who hold a DPI Teaching License) $130/Day SPAPSD Retired Teacher Substitutes $140/Day Long Term Substitutes $215/Day *When teacher substitutes accept Special Education Educational Assistants positions the hourly rate will change to $14.75/hour with a 30 minute unpaid lunch for full days.
