The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking licensed teachers for our 2022 summer school program. The program serves students grades 4K-11. The courses are offered to students for full mornings Monday through Friday for six weeks beginning June 20 through July 29 (a few will only run four weeks). There may be opportunities to partner with other teachers to fill all six weeks. Please indicate interest in an alternative schedule in your cover letter. Teaching assignments vary by level as noted below. Please indicate in your cover letter which grades and subjects you are interested in teaching. * Math and Reading Interventionists K-8 * 4K-2 Teachers (Future K - 3) We are offering a full-morning, self-contained class for our 4K (Jumpstart to Kindergarten), 5K (Flying Into First Grade) and Grade 1 (Future Second Graders) at Bridges Elementary. You will be assigned a class (much like the school year) that you have with you for the full morning. There is a recess break scheduled each morning. Please indicate interest in your cover letter. * Future 3rd Graders will have a team of three or four teachers at Bridges Elementary. One teacher will offer a class of academics (Math & ELA), one will offer a class for physical activity based instruction (movement, games, sports, etc.) and one will offer a class focused on creativity (art, science, dramatic play, gardening, theme based instruction, crafts, cooking, etc.). Please indicate interest in your cover letter. * Future 4th & 5th Graders (3-4 Teachers) Students will be assigned to a group which will travel together within a team of three teachers hosted at the Middle School. One teacher will offer an hour of academics (Math & ELA), one will offer an hour of physical activity based instruction (movement, games, sports, etc.) and one will offer a creativity hour (art, science, dramatic play, gardening, crafts, cooking, etc.). Please indicate interest in your cover letter. * Future Middle Schoolers 6th - 8th Graders (5-7 Teachers) We are seeking teachers to create a team at the Middle School. We are envisioning a team of three or four teachers who will instruct multi-grade student cohorts which rotate through the morning with a mid morning recess. We will need teachers who can support learners in Math and ELA as well as other content areas. Please indicate interest in your cover letter. * Grades 5 - 11 Opportunities to teach Strength and Conditioning classes for 6-11 or High School Recovery for 9-11 are also possible.
