Primary responsiblities for this position include supervising and working with students in a variety of settings including: recess, lunchroom and classroom. Classroom activities would be completed under the direction of the classroom teacher in Kindergarten-5th grade classrooms. Within this role, the paraprofessional commonly: help students individulally or in small groups with concepts, skills and subject matters as directed by the teacher or administratior. Assists with special projects in the building, including art classes, decorates classroom and hallway bulletin boards as needed Aid in supervision of recesses, lunchroom, hall traffic and fire and other emergency drills/exercises. Complete duplication of teaching materials, creation of materials, correction of papers, distribution of printed information. Assist with first aid activities or medical needs if required.
