Childcare Aide and Afterschool Care Coordinator - Vacancy ID: 267025

We are looking for a dedicated Childcare Aide to join our team! Reek School is located just blocks from Geneva Lake on a beautiful 12-acre campus, our small 3K–8th grade school is deeply rooted in academic excellence, strong student character, and rural community pride. In this rewarding role, you will support students from 3K through 8th grade, helping them thrive both inside the classroom and during daily activities.  The majority of the day is assisting with the 3K/4K early childhood programming. From 3:30-5:30 you would run the afterschool program in which all grade levels are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Support: Assist classroom teachers by leading small group instruction and helping students with activities.

• Daily Supervision: Monitor and engage with students during lunch and recess to ensure a safe, fun environment.

• Basic Care & Support: Assist younger students with basic needs, which may include occasional toilet training support.

Position Requirements

• Versatility: Comfortable and confident working with a diverse age range (4K to 8th grade).  Tasks and coverage may change daily so flexibility is important. 

• Weather-Resilient: Ability to spend extended periods outdoors in all weather conditions for recess duties.

• Physical Ability: Able to safely lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

• Attributes: A positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills.

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday through Friday)

• Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour depending on experience.
