Job Position Statement
The School District of Athens is in search of a highly skilled and professional music educator to join our team. An ideal candidate would be a proactive problem solver with outstanding communication skills, and contribute to the efficiency of the school district. This individual would be motivated, and thrive on creating a climate of inclusion, trust, and productivity which represent the school district values.

Job Responsibilities

Create a classroom environment that reflects and promotes the mission of the School District of Athens.

Deliver high-quality, standards-based music instruction aligned with our district curriculum.

Demonstrate a passion for music, a love of children, and the belief that all students can learn.

Demonstrate positive leadership, dynamic instruction, and the ability to lead student performances.

Design engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow educators, families, and the community.

Host grade-level performances, and a secondary production to showcase student talent.

Lead and support music ensembles competitions.

Care for instruments and maintain music room equipment.

Serve as an active member of the Marawood Music Teachers Organization, and become familiar with and follow the organization’s bylaws.

Support and follow School Board policies and procedures.

Skills and Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree in applicable discipline

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Music Educator License #1511, #1515
