Position Details
Union Grove High School is accepting applications for a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) Special Education Paraprofessional position, beginning during the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year and continuing annually thereafter. The Special Education Paraprofessional will support students across the continuum of settings, including one-to-one, in small groups, and in special education and regular education classrooms.
Essential Functions:

Support/extend the instruction of a special education or regular education teacher

Support students’ academic, social-emotional, functional, and sensory needs.

Communicate student progress and performance with the special education and/or regular education teacher

Collect data for progress monitoring

Implement accommodations and/or modifications for students

Supervise and support students in a variety of educational settings

Support classroom management

Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors

Demonstrate an understanding of learning content in order to support students

Use technology to support learning and communication
- Special Education Program Aide License issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) or another valid and current DPI license or permit. Special Education Program Aide licenses are valid for five years.
- If interested in this position, you must have a license or be able to apply for the license needed for this position.
- Experience in working as a special education paraprofessional or similar position is preferred.
