The Frederic School District is seeking an innovative, student centered, full time Library Media Specialist, beginning with the 2026-27 school year. Candidates must be passionate about libraries, literacy, student learning, and making a positive impact with students.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
-Desire and ability to create learning opportunities aligned to learning standards.
-Understanding of workforce development needs and college and career readiness.
-Strong technology skills that leads to the integration of all types of technology into high functioning learning environment.
-Ability to teach through real-world application.
-Desire and ability to work in a Professional Learning Community Environment.
-Strong communication skills.
-Passion for learning, growing, and exploring.
Qualifications: Library Media Specialist certification is desired, but non-certified applicants are welcome to apply. The District is prepared to assist a quality candidate in attaining a pathway to licensure. Additional teaching licenses and experiences are considered assets to applicants.
Co-curricular, coaching, and student organization leadership opportunities are available.
Review of applicants will begin immediately and the position will remain open until filled.
The Frederic School District serves approximately 400 students in Northwest Wisconsin. The District recently passed an operating cost referendum in 2024. The District possesses a robust technology infrastructure, allowing for the continuous infusion of technology for our students and staff. With its passionate staff, evolving programs, and community support, Frederic School District remains a leader in the region.
