Grade 1 Teacher: We are seeking a First Grade Teacher who wants to be part of a team of professionals, serving as a Christian role model and providing a Christ-centered environment that supports students’ spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth, while delivering quality instruction and partnering with families.

 

Responsibilities

Teach core subjects: reading, writing, math, science, and social studies

Build foundational literacy and math skills

Differentiate instruction and assess student progress

Communicate regularly with parents

Collaborate with staff and support the school ministry

Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles

Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom

 

Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Previous experience working with young students, preferably in a kindergarten or early childhood setting

Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices

Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students

Knowledge of special educational strategies is beneficial
