The Kettle Moraine School District (KMSD) cultivates academic excellence, living out our vision to prepare, inspire, and empower all 3,400 students within KM. Covering 90 square miles, the District serves all or portions of the following municipalities: City of Delafield, Town of Delafield, Village of Dousman, Town of Eagle, Town of Genesee, Village of North Prairie, Town of Ottawa, Town of Sullivan, Village of Summit, and Village of Wales. KMSD operates five elementary schools (Cushing, Dousman, Magee, Wales, KM Explore), one middle school (Kettle Moraine Middle School), five high schools (Kettle Moraine High School, KM Global, KM Perform, High School of Health Sciences, KM Connect), and one alternative program. Position Summary:
The Kettle Moraine Community Recreation Manager is responsible for organizing and directing youth sporting boards, overseeing the community education complex, managing the auditorium, and fostering community partnerships for its citizens that enhance recreational and educational opportunities throughout the district. This position acts as a liaison between the Kettle Moraine School District and the ten municipalities within the district, fostering collaboration and promoting educational and recreational opportunities for the community. The Kettle Moraine Community Recreation Manager will work directly with the Superintendent and High School Athletics & Activities Director to ensure smooth alignment between programs. 260 day appointment, may require some nights and weekends, hours would be flexible.

Key Responsibilities:

Youth Sports Management:
-
Organize and direct youth sporting boards, ensuring effective program development, implementation, and evaluation.

Collaborate with coaches, volunteers, board members, and community members to enhance youth sports offerings and engagement.

Collaboration with Athletics and Activities Director:
-
Work closely with the High School Athletics and Activities Director to align community education programs with high school athletics and activities.

Ensure smooth coordination of schedules, resources, and communication between youth sports and high school programs.

Oversight of the Kettle Moraine Community Center

Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the Kettle Moraine Community Center, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and customer-focused environment..

Develop, coordinate, and evaluate recreational, educational, wellness, and enrichment programming that meets the needs of community members of all ages.

Oversight of Community Education:
-
Manage the community education complex, including scheduling, operations, and maintenance.
-
Develop and implement programs that meet the needs of the community, promoting lifelong learning and recreational opportunities.

Liaison Duties:
-
Act as a liaison between the Kettle Moraine School District and the ten municipalities, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.

Communicate effectively with community members, local leaders, and organizations to promote educational initiatives and programs.

Serve as the District Liaison for the Kettle Moraine Education Foundation, guiding fundraising efforts, community engagement, and scholarship programs.

Program Development and Evaluation:

Assess community needs and develop programs that promote educational and recreational opportunities for all age groups.

Monitor program outcomes and make recommendations for improvements based on feedback and evaluations.

Budget Management:

Assist in developing and managing budgets for community education programs and initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.

Team Leadership:

Supervise community education staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree required.
-
Administration license and experience preferred but not required
