Berlin High School is looking for an engaging and enthusiastic math teacher to join our family. The successful candidate would understand that teaching begins with relationships and that students are better suited for success when they find their learning relevant. Our math department has made a commitment to incorporating engaging strategies into every lesson to get students talking about their learning. We are proud to partner with our local universities to offer multiple CAPP classes in our math department, including Statistics and Probability, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. We also offer courses in algebra, geometry, and consumer mathematics. Students at Berlin High School go on to do a variety of things upon graduation, from entering the workforce or military, going into the trades or a technical school, or going to a four-year university, and we feel a well-rounded math education is vital to any path.
Berlin High School has a student body of approximately 400 students and has a breadth of opportunity with over 130 different course offerings to choose from in multiple disciplines, including career and technical education, fine arts, sciences, mathematics, languages, and college preparatory courses. Berlin High School offers the opportunity for students to earn over 70 university and technical school credits while in high school, in addition to Advanced Placement (AP) offerings. We believe that the high school experience extends outside the classroom, and with over 40 extracurricular clubs, groups, and teams, our students have ample opportunity to be involved.
The ideal candidate would be effective in the following areas:

Clay Lamberton Elementary (4K-5), Berlin Middle School (6-8), and Berlin High School sit on the same campus and serve as a hub of activity for the greater Berlin community. The Berlin Area School District comprises 14 municipalities, with the City of Berlin at the center. Berlin is a rural community with a population of 5,500 located approximately 20 minutes west of Oshkosh and 10 minutes north of Green Lake. The Fox River runs through the center of the historic Victorian downtown. Agriculture, health services, light industry, and retail shops comprise Berlin’s economy.
This position works a 190-day contract with a salary based on experience, not less than $47,512, and has an excellent benefits package.

Salary, benefits, and length of contract: This position works a 190-day contract with a salary not less than $47,512 and an excellent benefits package.
