Union Grove High School is accepting applications for a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) Special Education Paraprofessional position beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

The Special Education Paraprofessional works collaboratively with teachers and staff to support students with diverse learning needs across a variety of educational settings. This position provides academic, behavioral, social-emotional, functional, and sensory support to students in one-to-one, small group, and classroom environments to help them achieve success both academically and personally.

Essential Functions:

• Support and reinforce instruction provided by special education and general education teachers.
• Assist students with academic, social-emotional, functional, and sensory needs.
• Implement student accommodations and modifications as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collect and maintain data to support student progress monitoring.
• Communicate student progress, performance, and observations with teachers and other members of the educational team.
• Supervise and support students in a variety of instructional and school settings.
• Assist with classroom management while promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and success.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Demonstrate an understanding of instructional content to effectively support student learning.
• Utilize technology to support instruction, communication, and student engagement.
