Westosha Central High School is seeking an innovative social studies educator; the selected candidate will be innovative, build strong relationships with students and colleagues, and demonstrate a passion for supporting students.  Candidates of all backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will demonstrate thoughtful and intentional lesson planning, effective instructional design, collaborative skills, and an understanding of various assessment and feedback strategies.

The preferred candidate will have interest in teaching a variety of social studies classes.  The teacher selected for this position will primarily teach Global Studies and AP World History in 2026-27, but will have possible opportunities for other classes in future years.

Desired Licensing Qualifications:

• Broadfield Social Studies (701 or 1701) or Social Studies (2700)

• Preference given to applicants with additional licensure such as Sociology, Economics, History
