Athletic Director at Franklin Middle School. Position begins with the 2026-2027 School Year.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Wisconsin Teaching License
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises students participating in the athletic program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Ensures compliance with all appropriate rules, regulations and district guidelines.
2. Monitors student eligibility by:
a. Ensuring parent permission, insurance waiver, and athletic code cards are on file in the principal’s office before practice sessions begin.
b. Reviews quarterly failure and incomplete reports to determine scholastic eligibility.
c. Identifies and helps students needing assistance in obtaining a physical examination.
3. Schedules facilities and equipment use in cooperation with the intramural program leader and District Athletic Director.
4. Maintains uniform and equipment inventories.
5. Processes athletic code violations.
6. Assists District Athletic Director as requested in the scheduling of meets/contests.
7. Assists coaches in setting up for meets/contests.
8. Assists coaches in arranging transportation.
9. Assists coaches in verifying officials.
10. Arranges for meet/contests.
11. Manages athletic awards as needed in accordance with district guidelines.
12. Assists in recruiting coaches and makes hiring recommendations to the principal when requested.
13. Promotes the athletic program among staff, students, and the public.
14. Provides general over-all supervision to all aspects of the athletic program.
15. Assists District Athletic Director with budget preparation.
16. Reports for work on a regular basis and is absent only for reasons of illness, emergency, or other approved leaves.
Wisconsin Teacher Certification. Previous experience is preferred.
