The School District of Janesville is hiring for an Assistant Head Girls Wrestling Coachat Craig High School.

This position begins in Winter Season of School Year 2026/2027.

 

  • Primary Function: To lead the growth and technical development of the Girls Wrestling roster. This position ensures that the female athletes receive dedicated coaching while remaining integrated within the overall program structure.

  • Key Responsibilities:

 

 
  • Recruitment & Retention: Actively recruit female student-athletes to the program, capitalizing on the growth of WIAA-sanctioned girls' wrestling.

  • Gender-Specific Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact for female athletes; ensure appropriate locker room supervision and travel arrangements in accordance with district policy.

  • Instruction: Tailor technical instruction to the specific needs of the girls’ roster while maintaining the overarching philosophy of the Head Coach.

  • Competition Management: Lead the girls’ corner during female-only invites and WIAA Girls' Series events.

 

Professional Standards for All Positions

In accordance with WIAA bylaws and the professional standard you set during your 14 years of head coaching:

  1. Licensure: Must hold a valid Wisconsin teaching license or have completed the WIAA/ASEP/NFHS coaching principles course.

  2. Safety: Must be CPR/AED certified and complete annual WIAA concussion and all other district requirements.

  3. Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor with officials, parents, and opposing coaches, serving as a role model for student-athletes at all times.

Previous coaching experience preferred.
