Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides high-quality, evidence-based speech and language services to support student access, participation, and progress in the general education curriculum. This position works collaboratively within a rural school community to meet student needs in compliance with IDEA and Wisconsin DPI requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a District experiencing growth following the successful passage of a $54 million referendum to build a new elementary school which will open in December of 2026, and a new Central Office- reflecting the community’s strong commitment to public education.

Defined by success. - The Speech and Language Pathologists will work directly with the Director of Student Services, Building Administrators and Special Education Teachers, to advance equitable outcomes and inclusive practices for ALL students, in alignment with the District’s Strategic Plan

 


 

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and reevaluations using multiple, culturally responsive assessment tools; prepare DPI-compliant evaluation reports and participate in eligibility determinations.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals using evidence-based practices across individual, small-group, classroom-based, and consultative service models.

  • Serve as an active member of IEP and student support teams; collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

  • Support district MTSS through screening, progress monitoring, early intervening services, and consultation to strengthen language and literacy outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IEP timelines, service delivery requirements, confidentiality, and Medicaid billing (when applicable).

Qualifications
  • Wisconsin DPI Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility)

  • Knowledge of IDEA, Wisconsin special education law, and DPI guidance

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to ethical practice and culturally responsive service delivery
