Westosha Central High School is seeking an innovative social studies educator; the selected candidate will be innovative, build strong relationships with students and colleagues, and demonstrate a passion for supporting students.  Candidates of all backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.


The successful candidate will demonstrate thoughtful lesson planning, effective instructional design, collaborative skills, and an understanding of various assessment and feedback strategies.  


The preferred candidate will have interest in teaching a variety of social studies classes.  The teacher selected for this position will mainly teach Global Studies in 2025-26, but will have possible opportunities for other classes in future years. 


Qualified candidates must also demonstrate:

Westosha Central High School has seen a steady increase in student enrollment over the past four years and enrollment should be stable or see a slight increase in years to come.  The district recently completed construction on a forty-million-dollar referendum which includes classroom renovations, new collaboration areas for staff and students, and a brand new commons, auditorium, and gym. The referendum, supported by our community, has provided our students and staff with a state-of-the-art facility. 


Desired Licensing Qualifications:

  • Broadfield Social Studies (701 or 1701)) or Social Studies (2700)

  • Preference given to applicants with additional licensure such as Sociology, Economics. History
