Part Time Custodian, 2nd Shift - Vacancy ID: 230153

Salem School District is seeking a PART-time night custodian. This is a year-round position working from 2:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities include:
 Daily cleaning of classrooms, floors, halls, stairs, offices, washrooms, and other areas.
 Maintain building security by ensuring doors and windows are locked when appropriate
 Obey all safety rules and regulations.
 Assist in unloading, moving, and storage of supplies, furniture, and equipment
 Ability to bend, lift and move objects up to 70 pounds, and climb ladders up to 14 feet.
 Assist in snow removal as required
 Participate in training as directed
 Perform other duties as assigned by the Buildings and Grounds Director/2nd Shift Lead Custodian.

Qualifications:
 High School Diploma or equivalent
 Demonstrate aptitude for custodial work.
 Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
 Communicate and work well alone and with others.
 Possession of valid driver’s license and ability to operate school’s electric utility vehicle.
 Conscientious, pleasant, helpful, cooperative, trustworthy team player
 Previous work in a school district preferred
