JOB OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for district-level communication, marketing, and public information duties to include family and community engagement.  Responsibilities will include managing the webpage, district communication, social media, supervision, and other duties as assigned.

 PRIMARY DUTIES:

●     Involve parents, community members, service groups and the business community in engagement efforts to support students in academic achievement

●     Generate website, social media, print-based, and other forms of communication content including graphics

●     Maintain a keen sense of branding with regard to the district logo, mascot, and color use district-wide

●     Attend, participate, and be approachable at newsworthy school events.

●     Media relations with local/regional press, including crafting press releases and serving as district spokesperson as warranted

●     Serve as district-wide website content manager

●     Assist the administrative team in crisis management and communication to stakeholders

●     Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required

●     Maintain a current education knowledge base through educator networks, educational workshops, and professional publications

●     Demonstrate leadership ability to steer district towards best practices in public relations by providing professional public relations counsel to administration, school board, staff, students.

●     Review and edit all district publications that will be disseminated to the general public prior to publication

●     Assist with design, coordination, and execution of marketing efforts to promote the district.

●     Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between stakeholders and the district, and ensure a positive experience

●     Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms

●     Monitor/Supervise high school library, primarily study halls and checking out books

●     Use our Student Information System (Infinite Campus) to coordinate communication
