The Augusta Area School District is seeking a long-term substitute high school Math teacher at its High School for 2nd semester of the 2022-2023 school year. Candidate should demonstrate a strong knowledge of best practices, a willingness to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community, and engage in professional growth opportunities to increase student achievement. The selected candidate should have the skills to teach geometry, and algebra II. The District implements the CPM curriculum so preference will be given to those with experience teaching it. The District is also seeking a candidate that is willing to lead co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a highly collaborative department and teaching staff. The Augusta Area School Area District has embedded 80 minutes of the daily schedule each Wednesday for staff to engage with one another in their Professional Learning Communities. During the 2020-21 academic year Augusta Middle School was recognized by the WIsconsin DPI and RtI Center for our work with our universal reading instruction and our PBIS behavioral system. Augusta High was also recognized by the WIsconsin DPI and RtI Center for our work within our PBIS system.
