Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School has an educational assistant position available. The hours are Monday - Friday from approximately 7:45am -3:30pm. Responsibilities include assisting special education students and staff, playground duty, assisting teachers in the classroom and other duties set by the district. Qualifications: -Possesses or obtains within the first 30 days of employment a valid Special Education Aide License through the Department of Public Instruction -Ability to meet Department of Public Education Instruction criteria for a highly-qualified paraprofessional is desired Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment will be be subject to a background check, physical and tuberculosis test and illicit drug screening.
