The School District of Greenfield is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Substitute Occupational Therapist to provide temporary leave coverage from September 1, 2026 through November 24, 2026. This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping students develop the skills necessary to access their educational environment and achieve success in school.

This districtwide position offers meaningful collaboration with educators, families, related service providers, and administrators, as well as ongoing consultation and support from the district's full-time Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate is flexible, creative, and committed to fostering positive outcomes for students with diverse learning and developmental needs.

Position Responsibilities

The Substitute Occupational Therapist will:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments in accordance with special education requirements.
  • Participate as a member of multidisciplinary IEP teams.
  • Develop present levels of performance, write measurable IEP goals, and provide recommendations related to occupational therapy services.
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students.
  • Design and implement individualized intervention plans that support student access, participation, and progress in the educational setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, support staff, and families to meet student needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
  • Provide consultation regarding adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, sensory regulation strategies, fine motor development, and functional skill acquisition.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • A valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction School Occupational Therapist License (#812).
  • Verification of Occupational Therapy certification through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (formerly Department of Regulation and Licensing), Medical Examining Board.
  • Knowledge of special education processes, including evaluation procedures, IEP development, and service delivery models.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to work independently while effectively partnering with a variety of stakeholders.
